FLAX SEED HIGHER New York, Aug. 15 U.R The maximum price for flax seed was increased five cents a bushel by the OPA today. The new basis at Minneapolis, Du luth, Chicago, Milwaukee and Portland, Ore., Is $1.30 a bushel, delivered. Richard Wright Awarded' Air Medal For Combat Duties An Eighth AAF Bomber Sta tion, England Second Lieuten ant Richard Wright, son of Capt. and Mrs. M. C. Wright, 114 West Scharbaucr street Hobbs, N. M. has been awarded the Air Med al. The citation accompanying the award reads: "For exceptional meritorious achievement while participating in a number of bombardment missions over continental Eu rope." Prior to his combat duties In the European theater of opera tions, Lt. Wright had complet ed his navigational training at Roswell, N. M., army air base. Prior to his entrance in the air corps, Wright had been em ployed as a salesman for the J. C. Tenney company of Med ford. Ore. Lt. Wright's wife Is employed at the First National bank here and resides on Willamette ave nue. Capt: Wright was with the Bankers' Life Insurance com pany in Medford before going Into an administrative unit of the air corps.
