LOCAL and Posts Bail Roy Page Jones, 43, posted $10 bail with city police yesterday on a charge of drunkenness. To Reroof The Medford Elks lodge applied at the city build ing Inspector's office Tuesday for a permit to reroof the temple at a stated cost of $800. Tire Stolen Delbert M. Caleb of the Buckshot Hill road report ed to city police yesterday that a new spare tire and green disc wheel was stolen off his car. The tire was an Atlas? 5:00x17, Cava Leaves Willard E. Cave, motor machinist's mate, USNR, left yesterday by United Air Lines to return to his ship which is attached to the amphib ious forces of the Atlantic fleet Cave had been visiting with his wife and family at the family home, 822 West Twelfth street, for two weeks. . Navy Enlistments William Loren Oden, Butte Falls, son of Mr. and Mrs. William I. Oden and John Wayne Rodgers, Butte Falls, son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Rodgers have enlisted in the navy. The boys were enlisted on the 21st of July through the Medford navy recruiting station, according to H. W. Crain, re cruiter in charge. They are home for a 10 day period before reporting for recruit training. Leaves For Farragut Ed ward L. Kendall of 702 Victory street has gone to Farragut, Ida., for training in the navy's ship repair unit. He has been given the rating of motor machinist, first class. Before going into the navy Kendall was a mechanic in the ordnance department at Camp White, working there for 26 months. About 50 men and as many girls will be taken on the picnic and both must register, the men with the WPRC special service officer at Camp White and the young women with Mrs. Ruth Boyd of the MarKade, by Friday eve ning. The group will meet at the MarKade at 1 p. m., from where transportation will be furnished to McKee bridge, and the return trip will be made about 7 p. m. Fehl against Jackson county for $11,000 Fehl claims is due as his salary as county judge, following his conviction on ballot theft, Circuit Judge H. K. Hanna overruled both, and granted Fehl ten days in which to file further proceedings. Fehl contends he is entitled to pay for the period for which he was elected as county judge. He served but three months of the term before he was convict ed, and a successor named for the county office. The county was represented by District Attorney George W.
