The families, former resi dents here, are looking over farm property while in the val ley asthey plan to return after the war to make their perma nent home. At Hpndo Mr. and- Mrs. Merle Ivie of 619 West Second street have received word that their son, Bob, is now stationed at Hondo field, Texas, where he is receiving advanced training as a navigator in the army air corps. Another son of the Ivies, Cpl. Donald Ivie, has received his expert infantryman's badge. Cpl. Ivie is stationed at Camp Van Dorn, Miss. It Visitor Mrs. Ethel Mc Kinney of Kansas City, Mo., is visiting in Medford with Mrs. Emma Perkins, 228 North Cen i tral Avenue. Mrs. McKinney's daughter, Miss Myrtle McKin ney, will accompany her mother on the return trip to Missouri. Miss McKinney has resided with Mrs. Perkins for the past 10 months and was employed at Humphrey's grocery. An other guest of Mrs. Perkins yes terday was Miss Jeanette Mizell, formerly a Medford resident and now living at Tulare, Calif. Naval Supply Depot, Clearfield, Utah. Daughter Born Master Sgt. and Mrs. James G. White, who live on the post at Hamilton Field, Calif., are the parents of a daughter born June 12. Mrs. White was formerly Minnie Putman, daughter of George Putman of Eagle Point, and a former valley resident. Sgt. White is in the air corps. To Conference Dr. and Mrs. Louis C. Kirby and family will attend the annual Oregon Meth odist conference which opens in Portland next Thursday.
