Br John MeckUn United Press staff Correspondent London, Dec. 18 (U.PJ Brit ish scientists said today that a new sex hormone hat been de veloped which for the first time U- medical history enables the complete control of at least one form of cancer. A spokesman for the) Council of the British Empire Cancer campaign said British research with diethylstilboestrol hat con firmed Its effectiveness in the treatment of cancer of the pros tate gland, a particularly pain ful form of the disease which usually affects men of 60 years or oiaer. - Few Pills Dally 'Tor the first time In the his tory of mankind," the spokes man said, "it la possible to Oate that one form of cancer can be completely controlled and the patient rendered symptom-free by the administration of a few pills by mouth each day."
