"Bill" Fal well, who was employed by the concern for nearly six years In Medford and Portland prior to 1938 when he ente-ed defense work! announced recently that Consolidated Freightways had won permanent possession of the Trailmobiln Trophy. The trophy Is awarded annually by the Trailer Company of America under the direction of the Ameri can Trucking association to the trucking company having the best record for safe operation. Winning the award for the third consecutive year entitles the com pany to permanent possession, Falwell said. The trophy is awarded not only for safety and service, but on preventive main tenance and better load planning as well. Falwell took over his duties In Grants Pass this week, replacing Lawrence Estes. Mrs. Falwell and their son, Eddie, went to Grants Pass to make their home last winter. Hanna is expected to at tend and possibly J. O. Bailey, chief Justice of the Oregon su preme court. PHOENIX PASSES . Mrs. Ora Belle Houston, wife of Frank W. Houston, Phoenix, passed away in Grants Pass lat" Wednesday evening. She had been ill but a short time and her death was unexpected. She was born at Beagle on December 25, 1896, and lived her entire life in Jackson coun ty. She moved from Central Point to their home on the Plo ner road, near Phoenix, In 1926. Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters at home, Mrs. Carmen Hust and Gloria Jean; her mother, Mrs. Susan Ralmey, Central Point; and two sisters, Mrs. F. E. Miller, Central Point, and Mrs. J. B. Hanna, Shady Cove. . Services will be held In Con ger Chapel at 1 p. m. Saturday with the Rev Ward Rice- offici ating. Interment will be in tne family plot in the Central Point cemetery.
