F. club Tuesday at her home on Stevens itreet. Luncheon wai served and three new members taken Into the club. They were Mrs. Etta Hydes, Mrs. Charlotte Walters and Mrs. Viola Trautman. "Guess Who" Sisters ex changed presents revealing their names and new names were drawn for the coming year. The Christmas party will be held at the home of Mrs.' Laura Wil liamson, December 29. Attending were the Mesdamer Viola Trautman, Etta Hydes, Charlotte Walters, Iva Walden, Lina Dyer, Clara Tillie, Laura Williams, Rachel Cobb, Ilda Vlckoren, Lucretia Jordan and the hostess. M M 1 i Burgman Home I Scene of Dinner An. enjoyable evening was spent Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Burgman, 1815 Prune street, by three army nurses from the 79th gen eral hospital at Camp White. They were entertained at dinner and Thursday evening invited the Burgmans to Camp White for dinner. Enjoying the Burgman hos pitality were Miss Helen Kelly, first cousin of Mrs. Burgman, a hospital graduate of Mary Im maculate hospital, Jamicia, Long Island. Before entering service she was operating room super visor, - , Miss Mary Weinshrieder, for merly of Fort Jay, N. Y, has been in the service nine months. She is a graduate of Long Island College hospital, Brooklyn, N. Y., and her work has been chiefly in the operating room. Miss Ruth Ann Smith, graduate of Methodist hospital, Brooklyn, N. Y., before entering service was asociated with the medical division of the Metropolitan Life Insurance company, Attending the dinner at Camp White Thursday evening were the three hostesses, Mr. and Mrs. Bergman and the latter's sister, Mrs. G. A. Figge who is in this city for a short visit. Miss Smith Speaker At Service Wives' Club Miss Jeanette Smith of the Southern Oregon College of Ed ucation was guest speaker at the Service Wives' club at Ashland Tuesday. She discussed the pro posed nursery school project now under consideration. At that time plans were outlined (or activities to close the year s work. An addendum was given for Baby Peters, small son of Sister Faye Peters. Taking part were Mattie Luman, Dorothy Waldron, Jeanette Spencer with Libby Root at the piano. At a meeting Thursday eve ning of the past worthy matrons and past worthy patrons were honored and a ceremony using ships loaded with flowers and representing the faithful work of the honored guests was pre sented. Participating in this feature were Skippers Dorothy Waldron, Vera Thomas, La Vesta Gardner, May Wynn and Olga Bowdish. Past worthy matrons present were Mollie Britt, grand repre sentative from the District of Columbia; Lulu Saulsberry, Nell Fick, Violet Wilson, Anna Cator, Anna Langley, Lela Shores, Alllean Maxwell, Faye Peters, Past worthy patrons included Emil Britt, Ernest Langley. Vivian Wilson, Ira Luman and Grant Todd. Wedding Ceremony Read at Church Sylvia Alyce Hedrick of this city and Albert Raymond Proc tor of Camp White were marriea recently at 9 p. m. at the First Christian church by the Rev. R W. Coleman. They were attend ed by Marvin Satter and John W. Tungate. Also attending the wed ding were Mrs. Satter and Mrs. Tungate. They will make their home in this city. City Council of P-T.A. Meets at Brockway Home The City Council of Parent Teacher association met Tuesday at the home of Mrs. A. E. Brock way, Route 2, for the December luncheon meeting. Mrs. A. H Puhl gave a discussion of the meaning of Christmas this year, and Miss Miriam Burton led the group in singing Christmas car ols. Eighteen members attended the meeting. Father and Son Honored With Dinner Harry Wilson of this city and his son, Walter L. Wilson, were jointly honored with birthday dinner at the Walter Wilson home at Oak Grove Sunday. A small group of relatives attended the affair. The elder Mr. Wilson, who-was 67, has been employed at Weeks and Orr furniture store here fof 23 years. Versatile 'ft mm vil Freda Linn. Carl McDow Wed Here Freda H. Linn of Yakima, Wash., and PFC. Carl W. Mc Dow of Camp White were mar ried at the First Christian church chapel Wednesday of this week at 8 p. m. by the Rev. R. W. Coleman. The couple was attend ed by Sgt. Lloyd E. Lamb of Camp White and Mary DelUia Rumley of this city.
