He purchased the Joe Koenig vineyards located on the Mili tary road last spring and is op erating them under the name of Del Vineyards. DeMoss re ports that the grapes are coming along fine and are as large, sweet and well-shaped as any irrigated grapes in the Fresno grape district. The grapes here are grown dry-land method. ... Receives Wings Donald R. Gillespie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Gillespie of 1315 East Main street, received his wings and commission as an ensign in the U. S. navy air corps Septem ber 4 at Corpus Christi, Tex. He will take advanced training at Miami, Fla., and then begin his duties with tha Atlantic fleet in the dive bomber squa dron.
