Brilliant Cast In Premiere Show BOEING MANAGER FLAG PRESENTED F Resignation of three faculty member! from the Medford pub lic school system was announced today by E. H. Hedrick, city school superintendent. The va cancies have been filled by com petent instructors in readiness for the opening school date in the city. Miss Marjorie Kelly, head of the girls' physical education de partment of Junior high school has entered her resignation to take up camp exchange work at Camp White. ' Miss Kelly has been a member of the junior high faculty for the past 12 years. She will be replaced by Mrs. Phyllis Hawk who taught last year at Oak Grove school. Miss Mary Ellen Eberhart, in structor in art at junior high school has resigned her position and will be married in the near future. Mrs. Urscla Ogle, who has been teaching leisure arts at Jackson school, has been selected to fill this vacancy. Resignation of Mrs. Wilna Kincaid, Spanish and English teacher at the high school was also announced with Miss Carol H. Snyder of Los Angeles to re place Mrs. Kincaid. Reverberations from across the country led H. Oliver West, executive vice president of the Boeing company, to Issue a statement last night that "on the whole, our women employes are doing an excellent Job. The use of women has proved so satisfactory in general that we expect within a few months to have SO per cent or more of our entire factory payroll made up of women workers." He was quoted yesterday, fol lowing an Interview with a touring group of women report ers, as belittling the flirtatious attitude of many girls In the aircraft plant. Reports to the contrary flooded the news wires from other air plants around the nation. In Washington, D. C Mary Anderson, head of the women's division, even suggested that "it would seem Mr. West is one of those men who didn't want women In the plant in the first place." Current Japanese propaganda methods were discussed before the Medford Rotary club Tues day noon at the Hotel Medford by Dan Bowerman, representa tive of the United Press, San Francisco bureau. Croteau of S26 Front street who left here recently for Andover, Mass.. where she will make her home with her sister, Mrs. Mary Smith. A native of Ireland, she carried her Irish brogue and wit into the homes of many local residents and her departure is indeed a loss to those who knew her for many years. She had resided in Medfcrd over 20 years and had a large clientele in laundrying fine linens. She left behind her many friends and also a faithful Shep herd watchdog, who had been her pet for many years. Through the efforts of Mrs. S. W. Rich ardson of the Humane society a good home was found for the dog. Mrs. Croteau had returned to her Irish homeland three times since living in Medford.
