Mike Bossier, in which he states that he is convalescing from an attack of pneumonia he suffered July X. Pvt. Bossier is stationed at Camp Roberts, Calif., with Co. A, 77th Infan try Training Battalion. Jobs Open Clerks to serve under the U. S. engineers in Alaska and men with sea ex perience to serve on U. S. army transports are needed immedi ately, and those interested in ap plying for positions are asked to write the civil service repre sentative, care of camp quarter master, Camp White. Pay for clerks ranges from $1,620 to $2,000 per year, plus liberal overtime pay. Enrolling Man The United States maritime service is en rolling apprentice seamen for training to become able-bodied seamen in ships of the American merchant marine. Candidates for the training must be be tween 18 and 30 years of age. Sub-enrolling stations are lo cated in the Coast Guard re cruiting stations at Portland, Tacoma. Spokane and Great Falls. Mont. Sgt. Horace R. Franklin of Camp White was driver of an automobile which was struck by the car being operated by Charles Jarvis, no address listed, at Henry's Drive-In on North Riverside avenue Tuesday, a re port stated.
