West Facing Abundant Irrigation Supply, is Word Washington, June 18 (Pi Farmers in most areas of the far western states can look for ward to abundant water sup plies for irrigation this year, the department of agriculture said today. The prediction was based on extensive snow surveys of the past spring. Measurements on main watersheds and snow courses indicated that the sea son's run-off would range from around normal to better, and that most reservoirs would be "well filled." For Oregon as a whole the department said the snow water content on 89 per cent of all courses was greater than in 1941 and in most cases was greater than in 1940 and 1938. NEGRO CONVICTED Spokane, June 16 (JP) Su perior Judge Fred Witt today sentenced Ben Webbs, Negro hotel porter, to be hanged for laying two years ago of Mrs. Jessie Sellers, Spokane beauty parlor operator. Webbs, con victed of first degree murder by a Jury without recommenda tion for leniency, repeated his declarations of Innocence before sentence was passed.
