Strieker, state health officer, explained that there are three phase to the vie problem, but that tha board of health 1 Interested only in the phase dealing with control of veneral disease. Dr. Strieker said the veneral disease problem would be more acute after closure of the houses, because diseased girls then would tak their place In soc iety and thus would more read ily spread the diseases.
