Society ani Clubs by Betty Shoemaker Mrs. Lovell Elected Head Of Mistletoe Club Mrs. Edwin Lovell wai elect ed president of the Mistletoe club which met at the home of Mrs. Michael Beck on the Old Stage road last week for Christmas party. Mrs. Harry Miller wil serve as vice presi dent; and Mrs. Russell Zundell as secretary-treasurer. An exchange of Christmas and Pollyanna gifts was fol lowed by a shower for Mrs. Elsie Rawstern. Hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs. Zun dell, Mrs. Elsie Walker, Mrs. Maurice McCoy and Mrs. Harry Miller. Attending the Yule party were Mesdames Harry Miller, Edwin Lovell, Claude Alexan der, Albert Braun, Henry Glas cock, Frank Hussong, Jessie Laing, Thomas Lynch, Roy Mc Conochie, Alto Nyberg, Elsie Rawstern, Russell Zundell, Fre da Kingsley, Elsie Walker, Kingsley, Birdie Johnson, Miss Blanche Arnold and the hostesses. Queen's Ball To Be Tonight Daughters of Job members and their Invited guests are anticipating the Queen'a Ball to be held tonight at 8 o'clock at the Masonic temple. The for mal affair will honor Miss Carol Tengwald, retiring queen of the Med ford bethel. The hall was decorated yes terday in a Yule motif forming a festive background for the dancers. A short program will be presented during Intermis sion. Steve Whipple's orchestra has been engaged for the eve ning. McCoys Plan Holiday Trip Mr. and Mrs. Maurice A. Mc Coy and children are planning to leave Wednesday for the north where they will spend the holidays visiting friends and relatives. They will be guests of Mrs. McCoy's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.. H. Hay In Sllverton; Mr. McCoy's mother, Mrs. Ethel McCoy In Salem and Mrs. Mc Coy's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Harris In Eugene. They will also spend several days in Portland. Visitor. At Eads Home Mr. and Mrs. Ted Merry weather and daughter, Jean Ann of Lafayette, Cal., are visit ing Mrs. MerryweatKr's par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Geor Eads of Talent during the holidays. Gillette, SOS Union avenue, when they entertained with a Christmas dinner and farewell party. Mr. Gillette is leaving this evening for Everett, Wash., where he will be stationed with the signal corps of the U. S. army. His parents held an early Christmas in order that their son might be present Also at tending were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Meadows and Mr. and Mrs. Nahss and baby, brothers-in-law and sisters of Mr. Gillette.
