John W. Hoyt, passed away at a local hospital Wednesday at 9 40 p. m. after a short illness. Mrs. Hoyt was born in West chester, N. Y., and her marriage to Mr. Hoyt took place Dec. 11, 1900. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian church and of the Eveready Circle. She is survived by one daugh ter. Mrs. W. H. McClure, of Med ford, and three grandchildren. Charles Arthur Hoyt of Los Angeles, Cal., and Bonlne and Lassie McClure of Medford. Funeral services will be con ducted from the Perl Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p. m.. Rev. Sherman L. Divine, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will officiate and will be assisted by Rev. H. M. Roberts. .Concluding services will be held at Mount. View cemetery in Oakland, Cal. (iP Pink Mayfield, 53-year-old Paterson negro, arrived here broke to reclaim his stolen car after police had recovered it, then dis covered there was a $2.30 tow ing charge which had to be paid. He opened a large black case, removed article after article and staged a one-man band per formance in the police station.
