From Eugene they will continue to Portland whence they will return to Medford by the coast route. They will spend several days at Chetco. Visits Parents Marvin Burk is spending several days at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. F. Burk, 93 Rose avenue. He has been stationed at Lowry field, Denver, Colo., with the feu. S. air corps. He will leave next week by way of Denver for New York City whence he will sail the early part of De cember for the Panama Canal Zone. G. B. Hughes of 513 North Central avenue applied for a permit to remodel his residence at a stated cost of $100. -Arrives From South Mrs. L. R. Burke arrived by train from Sacramento, Cal., this morning to spend several weeks with her husband. During her stay in Medford, Mr. and Mrs. Burke are residing at the Hotel Hol land. Mr. Burke is route agent for the Railway Express Agency from Sacramento and is in Medford on business. Improved Fletcher Fish, prominent Phoenix resident, was reported today as improving steadily In Community hospital where he Is receiving treatment for Injuries he suffered when he was struck by a car as he attempted to cross the road In front of his home Thanksgiving day. Yesterday 150 stitches were removed from his left thigh which had been badly lacerated. Mr. Fish also suffered other lacerations and abrasions and a sprained right ankle and wrist. Hospital attendants said that complete rest and relaxation are desirable for Mr. Fish. ' Plane Passengers The 9:23 northbound United Mainliner was grounded in Medford last night because of fog in Portland and Seattle. The plane contin ued north this morning at 9:14 Arriving last night were H. B. Heberling, from Los Angeles. T. Scadden, from San Francisco, and Miss A. Jacobson, from Oak land, Cal. The midnight south bound plane arrived about 8 o'clock, starting out early be cause of weather conditions in the north. Leaving tor San Francisco was H. Levitan.
