On the road from Butte Falls to Blue Rock and on to Parker Meadows, mountain lilies are blooming profusely In the heavy underbrush. Lake Fishing Good 'Fishing In the mountain lakes Is particularly good at this time. At Lake o' Woods expert bass fishermen are making good catches with red headed min s nows; silverside trout are rising to Andy Reeker flies and cat fish are also being caught. I he Blue canyon and seven Lakes groups continue to yield good catches; this week the most successful lures have been worms and blue upright flies. Small beaches at Union Creek and Natural Bridge offer opportuni ties for wading and sun bathing. "Lightning storms during the past week have started numerous fires throughout the forest, ana more are showing up each day after smouldering in trees ana logs. The entire forest force has been spending every effort to find and suppress these fires. while they are small, ana me laroost sn far has covered onlv four acres. Old Barn Burnt Moro, Ore., July 18 (JP) Oscar Ruggles' 142-foot hay barn on the old Finnegan ranch was destroyed in one of the eastern Oregon grain fires this week.
