MEDFORD MAIL TRIBUNE. MEDFORD. OREGONT, WEDNESDAY. JULY 2. 1941. TS Complaints charging viola tion! of truck weight regula tion! were filed in Justice court yesterday by state police. De fendants cited to appear at a later date were: Vera D. Chamberlain, Shady Cove, axle overload; Merrill L. outton. weight on truck in ex cess of PUC weight receipt; Don nell E. Koenig, Eagle Point, axle overload; Terry R. Norval. no license of truck, and Arthur Farra, fined $10 and costs for having no PUC weight receipt. Spencer L. Houston was cited for having no taillight on his auto and James C. Stelle for failure to stop at the Central and Sixth street intersection. Statistics gathered by an air line for a period of months indi cate only about three out of every 1,000 plane passengers be come airsick. Clotlng tlma for Too Late to Claa- tUy Ads Is 1:30 p. m. REST THREE DAYS Employes of the Medford Cor poration and the Timber Pro ducts company will have a three day holiday, starting Friday, for observance of the Fourth of July. Both plants will resume Monday. Logging camps gener ally will shut down for the same period, also several sawmills throughout the county. Many Jackson county rest' dents plan to spend the three day holiday in the hills and at the seashore. The Ashland cele bration will draw heavily. The courthouse will be closed Friday, as well as all other pub lic on ices. The Mail Tribune will Issue an early edition. Transportation and communication facilities were such that it took considerably longer for anything to happen than it does today.
