ASHLAND SLATES HEAVY PROGRAM MARION TALLEY GIVEN DIVORCE, CTOSTODY Former Voice Coach Scolded by Judge for Morals No More Court Fights Everett Gray, agency salesman for the Mobllgas and Moblloll marketers for southern Oregon. Holmes has lived in Medford for the past nine years. He came here as a representative of Gen eral Petroleum Corporation from that company's Portland offices. Sometime later he joined another major oil company, and throughout his residence here has been active In the city's busi ness and social life. Commenting on the appoint ment, Gray states that selection of the new local agent is in line with his company's policy to pro vide representatives in its vari ous markets, who are thorough ly versed in the many phases of the petroleum industry. "We are pleased to announce the appointment of a former em ployee of our company as our new agent here," said Gray. "Many years of experience in the oil business qualify him to provide a high type of service to local users of petroleum oro- 'To aid Mr. Holmes in this market are our resident engin eers in Oregon, who are skilled in handling of commercial and industrial lubrication problems. We have, also, a staff of super visors who aid our wholesale agents and service station agents in the continuous process of im proving our service to the mo toring public." When interviewed today, Holmes expressed his satisfac tion with the opportunity ex business here as representative of the company with which he was once associated. "I have always had a desire to have my own business," he said. "I can think of nothing I would like better than this op portunity to represent General .Petroleum, by whom I was for merly employed, and to continue in the service of the community which I look upon as my home. "I trust that this is the begin ning of an association that will prove increasingly advantageous both to the company and its patrons." One Generally Helps Pueblo, Colo. 'The present rate of telephone growth and increased volume of toll and long distance business, both at the highest level in the history of our company, are due in large part to defense prepar edness and, as such, have as sumed abnormal proportions. I "It is most regrettable that this Innocent child is the one' who must suffer most in this case. The charges are most un fortunate and I think that they have done the child irreparable1 injury. ... "And it seems to me that any-'. one who would have a normal' love and affection which a fath er has for his child would not have made these serious charges of immorality, Impropriety and i aauuerous conduct without any evidence to support them."
