'Their unique religion com bines teachings of Christ, Moses and Mohammed with some pa gan features," says a bulletin from the National Geographic society. "They received a tech nically separate government for Jebel ed Druz under the Syrian administration but difficulties arose over the extent of French supervision and in 1925 a gen eral Druse uprising developed.
