She former ly resided her about twenty years ago and Is the former Ruth Seymour. Those attending the pleasant event were Mr. and Mrs. Wal ter Wilson and son Richard. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Humphry. G. Bunch, Mark Miller, S. Ralph Dippel. and George Codding. Mrs. Parsons Here For Summer Visit Mrs. Reginald H. Parsons ar rived at Hillcrest orchards from Seattle recently to spend the summer. Arriving here yesterday from Chicago, 111., by plane was Geoffrey Tootell, Mrs. Parson's grandson, who will also visit her for the summer. Al though he never attended classes on the Eugene campus, friends of Yosuke Malsuoka, a Univer sity of Oregon graduate who has been elevated to the position of Japanese foreign minister in Prince Fumimaro Konoye's to talitarian cabinet, have followed his political activities with in terest. It was in March, 1933. when he returned to Nippon through the United Slates aftr he led Japan's dramatic exit from mem bership in the League of Nations, that Matsuoka made his first and only visit to the real soil of his alma mater. He graduated from the Oregon law school in 1900 when it was still in Port land. "It is always interesting when an alumni of the University of Oregon achieves such a promi nent position."
