grandson, who will also visit
her for the summer. Other
members of the Parson family
are expected to arrive in the
near future for extended so

though he never attended classes
on the Eugene campus, friends
of Yosuke Malsuoka, a Univer
sity of Oregon graduate who has
been elevated to the position of
Japanese foreign minister in
Prince Fumimaro Konoye's to
talitarian cabinet, have followed
his political activities with in
terest.
It was in March, 1933. when
he returned to Nippon through
the United Slates aftr he led
Japan's dramatic exit from mem
bership in the League of Nations,
that Matsuoka made his first
and only visit to the real soil of
his alma mater. He graduated
from the Oregon law school in
1900 when it was still in Port
land.
