Drain well, add other Ingredients, cover and place over . a low heat for a couple of mlnutea. 128 VIOLENT DEATHS LISTED ON HOLIDAY; TWO BY FIREWORKS By the Associated Press Although it was a "safe and sane" fourth as far as fireworks went, at least 128 persons met violent deaths throughout the country. There were only two fire works fatalities reported in an Associated Press survey, one in Colorado and one in Maine. At a Fort Worth. Tex., fireworks display a section of boardwalk collapsed, plummeting 200 pers ons IS feet, but none was killed; 40 were injured. A year ago, according to the National Safety Council, the fireworks casualty list showed 13 deaths, 19 blinded in one or both eyes, and 9,341 others in lured. Automobile accidents account ed for at least 63 deaths and drowning for 33. The traffic toll .thus was under the normal av erage of 73 estimated by the Na tional Safety council for a Thursday in July. The council set the normal average for a July Friday at 83, Saturday 130 and Sunday 130. At least three persons were killed by lightning two in Col orado and one in Pennsylvania. Weddle of Stayton dropped dead at a family picnic yesterday. He was 80 years old and a native of Stayton. THE GRANGE Or If fin Creek Grange. Topping, owner of the Brook lyn Dodgers football team, met his bride when she appeared tn her ice revue in New York last winter.
