Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Tyson and son, Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Tyley Evans and son Richard, and Mr. and Mrs. Muarl Kaufman and daughter, Amelia. Guessing games were played after the dinner. . Hendersons to Summer at Park Mr. and Mrs. Ray Henderson and daughter, Lela. left last week for Glacier National park to spend the summer. Mr. Henderson is associated with the National park service. D. S. Libby, formerly connected with Crater Lake National park, is now superintendent of Glac ier. Mr. Henderson has spent many summers in the park serv ice at Crater Lake. He plans to , -return at the conclusion of the park season to resume his teach ing position with the Medford school system. Group Visits Coast Town Enjoying a week end sojourn In Crescent City, Cal., were a group of Medfordites. They included Mrs. D. L. Flynn, the Misses Jackie Flynn, Patricia Wilkinson, Tony Steph enson and Mary Shreve who was recently named "Queen Elizabeth" of the Shakespeare Festival association. Others were Louis Thurman, Chris Barker and Larry Schade, Jr. Day Children Cummer Here Janet and Fred Day arrived in Medford this morning by train to spend the summer visiting their mother, Mrs. T. Slater Johnston at the Johnston river home. The children have been at tending school In Los Angeles for the past year. Guests included Mrs. Elva Lough, Belle Littrell, Carrie Young, Mrs. Mershon, Mrs. W. Weldon, Catherine Peterson, Hannah Einkoph. Refreshments and visiting were enjoyed dur ing the party. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence enter tained at dinner on Thursday evening for the recently wedded couple. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Eivert, Fred Menary and the Bryans. The group left later for Klamath Falls. The recent bride Is a daughter of the Lawrences. The couple were married in a pretty home wedding several weeks ago In this city. Trio Return From Mexico The Misses Enid Funk and Helen Parish returned yesterday afternoon from a three weeks' motorcar vacation. They were accompanied by Miss Amy Erick son of Klamath Falls. The trio's main destination was Mexico, in which country they visited manv flntprpctinc Dlaces. Amonff them Tn cated 50 miles below Mexico t-ity; Pueblo, Cuernavaca and Mexico City where they spent five davs. The errmn v mr. ticularly impressed with the Deauutui old cathedrals and the rural manner of living in Mex ico. They also took in bull fight during their stav. En route to Mexico and re turn they enjoyed visits in San Antonio and El Paso, Texas, Los Angeles and San Franri sro. Pal They traveled over 8,000 miles on me enjoyable trip. Ohio Wedding of Interest in City The many Medford friends of George Frances Barron, son of Mrs. Homer Barron of Ashland, will be interested to know of his recent marriage In Oxford. Ohio, to Miss Mary Frances Schaeuble, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Schaeuble. The bride groom's mother was among the wedding guests. Mr. Barron' has been asso elated with the fine arts depart ment of Miami University at Ox ford for a number of years, as music instructor, and will con tinue his work there. Fick, recently and de scribed earthquakes which oc curred on the island a fortnight ago. She also viewed the vol canic eruption on Mt. Loa in Hilo. Miss Fick. a teacher In the Klamath Falls high school, is toendins her second summer vacationing in Honolulu. Her' cousin, Dwane Malone, a former Medford resident, recently grad uated from the University oi Hawaii, according to word re ceived from Miss Fick. H. DuBois on South Holly street. Major Dixon is Mrs. DuBois' brother and Mrs. Weeks Is the Medford women's niece. Mrs. DuBois has been ill at her home on South Holly street for over three months. Shingle Boys Attend Fair Mrs. R. M. Galliher and two grandchildren, Robert and Verne Shangle, Jr., returned this morn ing from San Francisco, Cal., where they spent the week end and attended the Golden Gate International Exposition on Treasure Island. Mrs. Galliher, mother of Mrs. Verne Shangle, will spend a few days visiting here before return ing to her home in Bremerton, Wash. She visited here and in the south prior to making the recent trip down to the Exposi tion. B. P. W. Meet Is Cancelled The regular Business and Pro fessional Women s club meeting, scheduled for Thursday, July 4, has been cancelled because of the Fourth of July. Next meeting will be held July 18 at the Girls' Community club. At that time reports from the past officers and committee chairmen will be presented. Mrs. Myers Is !
