PAGE SEVEN J NEW 0-C OFFICE WILL BE ERECTED FOR THIS REGION Announcement ni made to day of the acquisition of a piece of property just north of town for the erection of an office and five-car garage to serve as head quarters for the Medford ranger district of the Oregon and Cali fornia revested lands adminis tration. The land was acquired from the Medford Corporation through the cooperation of James Owen, company manager, the announce ment said. It adjoins the new state police headquarters on the Pacific highway. With local ar rangements for acquiring the site completed, the O. & C. of fice said official approval in Washington, D. C, was expected soon. Plans for the office and garage have been completed. Bids have been prepared and distributed to local concerns for the materials to be used in the construction. The bids are to be submitted to the O. & C. administration, 410 Custom House, Portland, Ore., by 10:30 a. m., July 9. A copy of each bid is posted in the local O. St C. office in Medford city hall.
