NYA district supervisor, announces that from June 10 to August 10 course In aviation mechanics, auto me chanics, and commercial design at the Eugene vocational school are open to young men of Jack son county, 18 to 25 years of age. eligible to NYA placement. Several assignments are now available to NYA Cmp Skin ner Butte. Eugene. Those as signed to this resident project attend Eugene vocational school four hours each day. In this way the youth can earn money while training. Qualifications Cited Qualifications necessary for registration in the aviation me chanics course are: high school graduation: at least one year of mechanical drawing; experi ence and ability along mechan ical lines. .Qualifications for auto me chanics course are: no education requirement! a real Interest and, if possible, experience in auto mechanics or related work. Qualifications for commercial design are: an interest and ability In this field. Fee for the aviation me chanics course is SS per month and for the other courses $2 per month. Youths selected must be willing to remain for the full summer session. Some of these youths may be ad mitted to the fall session be ginning about September 9. Brown of Grants Pass, will lead the service at the Toursquare Way side church, 700 South River side avenue here Sunday, open ing at 7:43 p. m. The public is invited. Mrs. Brown is noted for her singing and musical ability. Rev. Brown will speak on "God s Way." The Foursquare church, be lieving strongly in music in the services, extends a special invi tation to musicians to assist in the meetings. LITHIA PARK Saint Mark's Episcopal church of Medford will Join with Episcopal churches of Ash land and Grants Pass in an out door service Sunday at 11 a. m. I in the Shakespearean theater In Lithia park, Ashland. The Right Rev. Ernest V. Shayler, D.D., retired bishop of Nebraska, will be the preacher. Saint Mark's vested choir will provide the music. The Rev. D. Sayre, the Rev. Justyn Edwards and the Rev. Herald G. Gard ner, the latter, of Medford, will conduct the worship. Members and friends of the three churches w'".! enjoy a pic nic lunch followed by games after the service. The public is invited. Mr. and Mrs. Edward C. Kelly. former Medford residents, are enjoying a variety of novel ex periences in their new home, Nome. Alaska. Some of their ex periences were related in a let ter just received by Mr. Kelly's mother, Mrs. E. E. Kelly, 911 Queen Anne avenue. Recently the Kellys went on a flower hunt, a general outdoor sport in spring and summer, Mrs. Kelly wrote. On the same Jaunt, past Tort Davis toward Cape Nome, they explored the ruins of igloos built into the sides of a hill. And the food: "We've been eating a lot of reindeer lately, knowing we'll probably never get it again once we leave Alaska," Mrs. Kelly said in her letter. "'1 have a roast today, which I shall cook with onions and potatoes around it and a button of garlic wedged in here and there. Last Sunday we had reindeer liver and the Sunday before reindeer T-Bone steaks. "The beef we get is not only very expensive, but it has been frozen so long it is tasteless: we prefer the reindeer meat. Most of the stores are running pretty low and everyone is impatient for the first boat to come in with fresh supplies."
