Rom were honor guests last evening at a no-host party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mark K. Miller on South Oakdale avenue. Guests enjoying the affair were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon R Green, Dr. and Mrs. F. G Bunch, Mr. and Mrs. George Codding, Mrs. R. J. Conroy, Mr and Mrs. G. O. Humphrey, Mr. and Mrs. Major Morris. Dinner was followed by cards. The honored couple have been transferred to Spokane, Wash. Mr. Ross planned to leave today and Mrs. Ross will join him in the Washington city in several months. They have re sided here for a number of years and their many friends will re gret their leaving. Mr. Bowman to Address League Plans for the January general meeting of the Jackson County League of Women Voters were made at a meeting of the board Wednesday noon. The general meeting will be held Monday evening, January 22, at the Girls' Community clubhouse. Education will be the theme of the meeting and C. R. Bow man, county superintendent of schools, will speak. Mr. Bow man will review a congressional bill which proposes federal aid to education, and will discuss matters of local interest. The program is being prepared by Mrs. W. A. Holloway, chairman of the department of govern ment and education and her as sistant, Mrs. Rupert Snyder. McKensies Leave For Bay City Horn Mr. and Mrs. E. E. McKenzie of San Francisco returned to their home here Saturday after a two weeks' visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cole Holmes. Several pleasant social affairs were given in the visitor's honor. Burlingame Group Here for Visit Arriving here this morning by train from Burlingame, Cal., were Rev. and Mrs. Herald Gardner and Mr. and Mrs. Jack McKcan. The group will spend the week end at the Hotel Medford. The Rev. Mr. Gardner will con duct services at St. Mark's Epis copal church Sunday. He has been coming here from time to time from Burlingame and has made many friends in the val ley. Pro-America to Convene Monday Pro-America will hold Its first meeting of the new year Monday noon at the Hotel Hoi land. Luncheon will be followed by a discussion of work for the en suing year. A professor quiz pro gram will also be enjoyed. Sub ject will be "How Much Do You Know About Government?" Monday evening in the Sixth street lobby of the Holland, a session will be In order espec ially for working women and others who are unable to at tend the luncheon confab. All persons are Invited to attend. 1 Couple Wed In Church Mam Miss Margaret Fouste became the bride of Donald. Millspaugh yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in the Presbyterian Manse. Dr. Sherman L. Divine officiated. The couple was attended by Rhoda Foley and Charles Flcischauer. They will reside In this city. Bagleys Return From North Stay Mr. and Mrs. Don K. Bagley. and small daughter Susan re turned recently to their Med- .ford home after having spent the Christmas and New Year holidays with relatives and friends In Portland, Salem and Ocean Lake. Newly Weds Visit Briefly in City Mr. and Mrs. George P. Ras munen Jr. (nee Mary Lee Maentz) are expected to arrive In Medford Saturday evening for a brief stay at the home of Mrs. Rasmussen't parents, Mr. and Mrs. George M. Rob erts. They plan to leave Sunday for Eugene but will travel back here the following week-end for a fortnight's stay. The Rasmussens' marriage was an event of last Sunday In St. John's chapel In Del Monte, A reception followed in the beautiful Pebble Beach lodge with the following guests present: Mr. and Mrs. AUyn A. Monroe of Hollywood, Cal., Miss Dorothy Paley of San Francisco, Larry Marshall, Alec Brown, Fresno; Mrs. H. Chand ler Egan, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Norris, George P. Rasmussen, the bridegroom's father of Om aha, Neb., Mrs. Corbln Edgell and Mr. and Mrs. Roberts. The newly wedded couple went to Palm Springs on their honeymoon and later visited the Monroes In Hollywood. Mrs. Monroe is Mrs. Rasmussen's sister and was her bridesmaid at the wedding ceremony. The Roberts returned last evening to their home on Crown Hill from the south. Mr. Brown Is Guest of Sister L. B. Brown left here Wed nesday evening for his home in Seattle, Wash., after spending several days visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Isaacs on the Jacksonville highway. Mr. Brown is a brother of Mrs. Isaacs. He recently retired from railroad service, having served a half century with the Great Northern. The past twenty eight years he worked out of Havre, Montana. Mrs. McPlke Returns Home Mrs. C. J. McPike returned to her home here this morning from Los Angeles, Cal., where she spent a week visiting her sister. Mrs. Marti On ' Portland Trip Mrs. Ray Marti Is visiting In Portland at the home of her mother. SIX UNDER ARREST San Francisco, Jan. 5. (P) Three men and three youths were held on burglary charges today in what Captain of De tectives Charles Dullea termed a breakup of the "largest scale burglary ring to operate In San Francisco In recent years." Police Inspectors Richard Hughes and James Hansen said the six were seized yesterday along with $50,000 worth of stolen Jewelry, furs and silver ware assertedly taken from 75 San Francisco homes during re cent weeks. The officers said the ring-lor-atr was William Carson, 48, v. tk liiey described as a former re .L-t at McNeil Island, Wash., federal penitentiary and Carson City, Nev. . Others seized were booked as: Isaac Lemelstraich, 69, manu facturing jeweler, said to have been a "fence" for the burglars; I Victor Cozetti, 32, assertely an other "fence;" John Jackson, 18; Tim Skondon, 19, and Tom Ryan, 19, all of San Francisco. He recently spent a few weeks with relatives in Cullman county and picked 1,000 pounds of cotton. Mickey Rooney Barred Miami, Fla., Jan. 5. W) Mickey, Rooney, the screen's current number 1 box office attraction, la too young to at tend the horse races in Florida. He went to Tropical Park, while vacationing at Miami Beach, but was barred because a state law prohibits minors at race tracks. He is 19. Pays Heavy Tax Chlcopee, Mass. (U.PJ Mayor Anthony J.
