A special feature for this week is announcement of the winners in the ping pong tour nament. In the beginners' finals, Jean Lillie met Barbara Ran dolf, with Jean Lillie taking the title. For the advanced players' finals, Pat Dippel, Savella Davidson,. June Kincald, and Dorothy Cyr, paired off, with June Kincald emerging victor- ious and making her the cham pion of the advanced girl play ers, bavella Davidson won the consolation honors from Pat Dippel. Shuffleboard practice has be gun with practices held this week. A large number of girls have signed up but more are asked to participate. Volleyball has been active for the past two weeks with a tournament to start this week. Girls still have a chance to earn at least five points In this tournament. The first regular scout meeting of the reorganized troop 17, held December 7, was attended by 14 boys. Nothing special was done but an active and well organized scout troop appears well on Its way to actuality. George Amo, owner of the Gold Hill hotel, has traded the hotel for property In Grants Pass and vicinity. Mr. and Mrs. Amo will leave for their new property soon. The Grange Live Oak Grange Live Oak Grange had an In teresting meeting December 4. The "hobo" lunch was quite a success. Worthy lecturer, sister Greenwood had an Interesting program, especially one rousing number, a song by Frank Green wood, George Hutchins and Frank Hall. Next meeting will be our Christmas party.
