Proceeds of the ball will be
used in buying materials and
supplies for the firemen s work
shop where old, discarded toys
are converted into Christmas
gifts for poor children.
Two CCC Camp Applegate
enrollces were being held in
city jail today to await their
hearing in justice court tomor
row morning on a charge of car
prowling. They were Thomas
W. Wren, 20 and James F.
Hicks, 20.
According to arresting city
police officers, Wren and Hicks
stole a bundle of letters from
the glove compartment of a
parked car belonging to E. H.
Mann of 47 Rose avenue. The
car was parked near the cham
ber of commerce Wednesday
evening.
'HAY FEVER' TICKETS
ON SALE TOMORROW
Tickets will be placed on sale
at the Jackson County Chamber
of Commerce tomorrow for
"Hay Fever," the Noel Coward
play which the Medford Com
munity Players will present in
the senior high school auditor
ium at 8:20 p. m. November 29
and 30.
The play Is sponsored by the
Medford school system. Director
is Robert Stcdman, teacher of
drama at the junior high school
and a veteran of the Oregon
Shakespearean Festival associa
tion productions. Rehearsals,
Mr. Stedman said today, have
been progressing nicely, the
first dress rehearsal being
especially smooth.
DR. EDGAR A. PRAY
DIES IN FARGO, N.D.
Dr. Edgar A. Pray, died Nov
ember 18, at the home of his
son, Dr. Ralph Pray, In Fargo,
N. D., according to word re
ceived here today. Funeral ser
vices wore held in Valley City,
N. D., where he was laid to rest
beside his wife, Fanny Penkc
Pray, who passed away in 1937.
Dr. Pray had many old friends
