MEDFORD MAIL TRIBUNE, MEDFORD, OREGON. WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 1939. PAGE THREE Society and Clubs Musical Society Presents Program The Musical society of Med ford enjoyed a recent program of music with Mrs. James Stev tns as commentator. The a capella chorus of 25 men' bers and the boys' octette from the Medford high school, un der the direction of Floy Young presented the outstanding event. In "Prochume," a worship song of the far east, Wilson Church sang the solo. The chorus' second song was a Ger man folk song, "Phillis," har monized by Brahms. "My People," an unusual number, was sung by the chorus In Latin . with an antiphonal choir singing in Greek. The octette followed with two num bers, "I'll Take You Home Again, Kathleen" and "I Love a , Parade. Surely He Has Borne Our Grief," a composition by Loti written in the 15th century, was also featured by the chorus and was followed by a simple story from the French, "Madam Jeanette."
