The truck, which also tore out an adjoining section of wire fencing, was not damnged. Albert Young, who acted as a guide for a local hiking party going te Whiskey peak Wednesday, has at tained tho distinction of driving closer to the peak than any other motorist. Mr. Young gained an extra half mile by driving through the Mark Winning ham premises and taking off over a sled track, thus leaving his mountaineers only five miles of hiking. The first meeting of the parent education series scheduled for the winter ln the Applegate extension unit will be held at Applegate school building October 18 at 1:30 p. ra.
