Colo., called this morning on Karl L. Janouch, supervisor of the Rogue River national forest. Mr. Beondv and Mr. Janouch worked together years ago on the White River national forest In Colorado. Magicians Visit John Gads, Med ford magician whose stage name Is Cal von, Man of Mystery, and his as sistant, Cecil Hanscam, visited in Ashland Monday night with Emerick Jones, who has Just returned to his home from a tour of the coast. Jones is billed as Emerico, Prince of Mys tery. The two young magicians are the founders of the Southern Oregon Magic club. New Park Snow Five inches of snow fell during the night In Crater Lake national park, bringing the ground cover depth at headquarters to 39 inches, rangers reported by ra dio this morning. The snow had stop ped falling at the time of the broad cast, 8 a.m. Skiing conditions were not improved materially as the new snow was wet and heavy, the rangers said. This morning the sky was ov- ercast and visioiilty was poor, they related. Plows were clearing the west and south entrance roads.. The rang ers advised use of tire chains for safe travel.
