Jr., of Klamath Falla were bouseguesU last night at the home of Mr. Del Mil's brother-in-law and sister. Mr. and Mrs. Don Newbury, at their home on Eastwood drive. The couple stopped here enroute to their home in Klamath Falla from Salem, where their marriage was an event of Saturday laat. Mrs. Delzell was the former Doris Marguerite Patterson, the daughter of Mrs. C. M. Follis of Palou.se. Wash. She has lived In Klamath Falls for the past several years. . The wedding ceremony took place at the home of Mr. JJelzell's brother and sister-In-law, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Delzell In Salem. The bridegroom Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Delzell oT Portland. He attended University of Oregon tn Eugene, where he was affllla:ed with Sigma Nu fraternity. At present he Is associated with the Journal in Klamath Falls, where he has resided for several years. The newly wedded young couple left for Klamath this noon. They will live In the Royal Arms apartments in that city. Christmas Service At Christian Church The annual Christmas and white service of the First Christian church will be held Wednesday evening at 7:45 o'clock in the main auditorium of the church. A pageant, "The Sweetest Story Ever Told" will be presented by Mabel Cox." Each member Is to bring a white gift of food or msney to be con tributed to the needy of the com munity and to the benevolent home of the church. I Van Dermark were hosts for a party honoring their youngest daughter, Dorothy, whose marriage to Bruce Stuart was sol emnised in Vancouver, Wash., several weeks ago. The delightful affair not only cele brated the wedding of the young couple, but also Mrs. Stuart's birth day anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Stuart received nu merous miscellaneous gifts at the party. Ferry of Foots Creek, will spend Christmas vaca tion with her parents, according to Mrs. Ferry, who was a Medford caller recently. Miss Ferry la teaching school at Gustlne. Cal.. and her twin alster, Elizabeth, alio well known In Med ford. Is enrolled In her second year at Radcllffe college where she Is doing research work. The slsteis both attended Stanford University In Palo Alto. John Ferry, the Ferry's only son, Is a student at Harvard, where he holds the distinction of having a Junior prize fellowship, he la one of only four In the United States to receive this award. Birthday Dinner Honors Two Guests Mrs. Bertha Lofland and Mr. Henry Owens were honored guests at a sur prise birthday dinner party last week at the latter 's home. Bridge Tournament Won By Watsons At the recent bridge session of the newly organized Medford Bridge club held in the Hotel Medford lobby, over 30 persons gathered for an evening of tournament duplicate bridge. Five tables of bridge were In play under the direction of tournament advisor, Mrs. Robert Watson. Winners for the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Watson, 81 per cent: Mrs. Gordon R. Green and Mrs. Major M. Morris, 59 par cent, and Mr. and Mrs. Leland OlarK. 57 per cent. On the first Friday In January, the first rating point tournament will be held in the Hotel Medford. It Is expected that a large crowd will participate In this bridge event. C. P. Alumni Group To Enjoy Banquet The alumni association of the Cen tral Point high school will hold Its annual banquet at 8 o'clock Wed nesday evening, December 28 at Chalker's Motel, north of Gold Hill. Drummond was the guest speaker for the afternoon and pre sented a most Instructive topic. Miss Yvonne Smith spoke on proper lighting in the schools and homes. (AP) The ex ecution of two spies Identified at "N" and "X" was announced today by the army newspaper Red Star, The paper said they had confessed planning "mass extermination of fighters and commanders by means of Infection" and hod admitted sab otaging army medical supplies. "N" was described as a "Oermaa by nationality, born and raised In Russia." He had been with the Red Cross since 1921, "X" was employed In the sanitary service of the red army.
