Haines of Ashland, stolen Sunday night, and a Chevrolet coupe owned by John Scott of Canyonvllle, stolen Oetaber 11, were discovered abandoned at an unoccupied cabin on the Hyatt Lake road. Groceries, bedding, guns and mis cellaneous articles, stolen from sum mer cabins at Lake of the Woods, were recovered Inside the unoccupied cabin. The summer cabins broken In to at Lake of the Woods recently are owned by Bert Hall, Horace Bldge wood and Charles Moore. Also entered and ransacked was the cabin on Hy att Lake road owned by H. O. But terfleld. State police recovered the two ma chines and the loot when Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Peters, son and daughter- in-law of Mr. Butterfleld, noticed the sutos parked alongside the unoc cupied cabin, one of the cars con taining a gun which they knew be longed to Mr. Butterfleld. Week-End Meeting of Presbyterian League The Presbyterian league of South west Oregon Presbytery will hold its first meeting in Medford, Saturday and Sunday, October 39 and 30. Reg istration w!U start at 3:30 p. m. Sat urday, and housing arrangements will be made for out-of-town guests. A get-acqualnted banquet, served by the Missionary society, will begin at 6:30 and It la expected that Miss Whlttaker, a recently returned mis alonary from China, will speak. The business meeting will follow. Games and stunts later In the evening will close the first day's affairs. On Sunday ths delegates will at tend Sunday school and church. In the afternoon committees will meet and a song service and devotional period will follow. A light lunch will be served and those living a great distance will he excused. The regular 8:30 p. m. Christian Endeavor meeting will be held for those who stay.
