(AP) Sixteen passengers, all Germans, and a Bel gian crew of four were killed today when a Belgian airliner crashed near Soest, In the Ruhr vslley In north' western Germany. An eye witness said the plane lost a wing In midair. It was an Italian made Savola, type S83. It was flying through rain and fog which covered western Germany this afternoon. The passengera were said to have fallen or Jumped from the plane be fore It crashed In flamea. The liner . was on Its regular Brussels-Essen-Berlln run. Sir Harry Twyford, lord mayor of London and British legion officials hsd traveled from London to Brussels on the mschlne, but chsnged there to another plane bound for Prague. The CIO union claimed It had blocked, for the time being at least, an effort of liquor distributors to open an "unfair" warehouse and break the tie-up In liquor distribu tion caused by the shutdown of 130 plants In a dispute with the CIO union. Thomas 0. Whit, secretary of the A PL union, said his men were "In timidated by a young army of CIO men," and went home. "I don't believe the employers will try to open up now," he said. (AP) The Czechoslovak government announced today German troops had penetrated beyond the new Czechoslovak-German frontier In six Instances and reported several disorders in connec tion with German occupation. Three Czechoslovak state police and several members of the Sudeten German free corps were said to have been wounded In a machine-gun bat tle on an Elbe river bridge near Aus slg. The Czechoslovaks captured a machine-gun and freed a police in spector who had been taken pris oner. " One Czechoslovak soldier was re ported, injured near Kdyne by free corps troopers who kicked and beat him.
