Hoffmann P Cart Nabb. 33. radio operator of CCC district headquarters here, sus tained a concussion and possible fracture of the skull shortly after 8 o'clock last night when the motor cycle he waa riding failed to negotiate a sharp turn on the Pacific highway near Seven Oaks, struck the Southern Pacific railroad tracks crossing Wil low Springs road and threw the young man 40 feet through the air Into a field. Semi-conscious, he was rushed to Community hospital by the Perl am bulanoe, summoned to the accident, and lat last night his attending physician stated he was resting fairly comfortably. Nabb suffered a concus sion and body bruises and scratches, but whether his skull was fractured won't be determined until today, the physician reported. According to Deputy Coroner Herb Brown. Nabb, apparently traveling t a high rate of speed south on the Pacific highway, failed to negotiate the sharp left-hand curve near the Intersection of Willow Springs road and the Pacific highway, and Instead drove his motorcycle up the dirt road and across the railroad tracks. When the vehicle crossed the tracks, Nabb was thrown off the machine. The Capital Parade (Continued from Page One ) As for tho rest of the program, It's generally agreed that the bulk of the nuisance taxes will have to be renewed, that the corporation taxes will have to be reauthorized, end thst gift and estate taxes may be equalized. A drive on tax-exempt securities and the tax exemptions on wages of state and local officials is also very definitely In the air. The problem of tax exemption la so Insanely technical that It seems to have been dreamed by Milt Gross. Nevertheless, tax-exempt bonds are more and more recognized as a dread ful drain on the economic system. offering, as they do, a refuge for capital that would otherwise be driven Into productive enterprise. The desire to tackle tax exemptions la there. There are' half a dozen schemes, all equally Incomprehensible to the layman. One of them Is likely to be trotted out.
