(CP) The Trans-Canada Air Lines' hangars here and at Lethbrldge have been built with an eye to the future. Reaping the benefit of the exper ience of American and European air lines, whose hangars often have prov ed Inadequate as large aircraft came Into use, Trans-Canada officials have designed both the Winnipeg and Lethbrldge hangar so that the space In them can be doubled If necessary, giving a clear opening of 300 feet, or sufficient to accommodate any size of aircraft likely to be used in the Canadian service. The main - hangar and the two- story administration building here nave been completed, and the gen- era! staffs and technicians have been transferred from temporary offlcea to the permanent quarters. Aircraft will be moved Into the hangar si soon as the tail strips from the main runways of the airport are completed. Part of the machine shop, engine test house and several concrete ap. rona are atlll under construction. The main hangar, of brick eon- structlon and with steel framework supporting huge areas of glass on two aides, la Isrge enough to accom modate four of the Lockheed 14 's at one time, together with smaller air craft. Traffic Officers Softened PITTSBUROH (UP) Traffic offi cers will have to be a "a little more Emily Post" and "a little less top sergeant" hereafter toward Pitts burgh'! erring motorists. That Is the warning Issued by Mayor Cornelius D. Scully after he had asked Bifcty Director George Filrley to drsw up a now code of better manners for traf fic officers.
