FARLOW, GOES 10 FINAL REST Elizabeth Baldwin Farlow, Jackson county pioneer, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Sllnger. at J7 Washington street. Medrord. early thl morning, at We age of nearly 88. Elizabeth Baldwin waa bom at Cedar Rapids. Iowa. August J7. USO. At the age of 13. ahe crossed the plain with her parents by o-team and settled at Portland. 81i months were required to make the Jourr.oy. At the age of 30. ahe was married at Selo. Linn county, to Ur. Farlow. now deceased. The same year of their marriage. 1870. they came to Jackson county and settled at Lake Creek, where she spent the rest of her life except the last lew years which he spent with Mrs. Sllnger and a sister. Mrs. Parlow was a member of the Methodist church. She was the mother of seven chil dren, three of whom aurjlve, Mrs. J. W. 8llner and Tom Parlow of Med rord and Prank Parlow of Lake Creek. Bhe also leave 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Her only Tls ter. Mrs. John Miller, resides at Eagle Point. And by a former marriage ahe leavea Joseph Sammerler of Central Point and Mar garet Glx of Granta Paaa. Funeral services will be conducted by Rv. Francis Black at the Sacred Heart Catholic church at 9 a. m. Wed nesday. Rosary services will be held at the Conger chapel at 8 this even ing. The body will be forwarded Wed nesday evening to Stlverton. Ore., for Interment. L Nick Young, Republican candidate for constahle for the Med ford dis trict, and unopposed in his own party In the primary, also received the most votes In the Democratic party. The official count shows Constable Young received 86 write-In votes. His near est competitor received 33. A score vf. other Democrats received a com plimentary vote for the Job. Including the 655 write-In votes accorded Governor Martin. In the Re publican primary, there were close to 1,200 write-ins In Jackson county. This Increased the work of the can vassing board. The count was com pleted last Friday. An abstract of the votes Is now being made. Cer tificates of election will be Issued as soon as thls'ls completed. Funeral services for Gaetano Apollo will be held In St. Joseph's Catholic church. Berkeley. Calif., at 10 a. m t Wednesday. The Mall Tribune was Informed by telegram today. The funeral mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Father Brcnnan. Father Brennan will also conduct a rosary service at 8 p.m. tonight. Mr. Apollo la survived by his wife. Corradlna. a daughter.
