"From an educational standpoint It Is proper for health officials to Interest themselves In pneumonia syphilis, heart disease and cancer, but there are essentially personal problems and their treatment should remain In the hands of the prlvat practicing physician. "Young people, she said, 'are sadly In need of Intelligent advice along the linos of social hygiene. Dr. Ada Hnrt Artitl if Cincinnati supported Miss Zlllmer In her asser tion, childish curiosity about sex should be satisfied. "Such curiosity Is normal and should be encouraged," she said. "But the Information they deal re should be obtained In a scientific way at home and school Instead of from cheap magazines and movies." Mr. Hue song presented the "Sons of the American Revolution" awards to students for good citizenship. Re ceivers were: Alpha Whlllock. Burton Daugherty and Martin Luther. Mr. Bowerman gave letters to 33 boys for their work on the track team. Receiving awards were Jack Bowman. Seven trophies given by local merrhnnts were , presented to the school or members of the track team. The program was concluded with two numbers from Med ford's cham pionship band, which carried second place at the regional meet in Seattle last week-end. On May 13 A. H. Banwell of the Jarkon County Chamber of Com merce and Max Henne. manager of United Line here spoke at the high school In connection with na tlonnl airmail week. Mr. Henne discussed the first air planr. with a two-cycle motor up to thn present day Douglas airliner, and their speeds.
