A picture far excelling the Rialto theatre's usual line of top-flight films is "Of Human Hearts," the dramatic story of the Civil war, which opens a three day run today at the Rialto theatre. A picture so great In theme that even the great cast is of little im portance to the story It character izes, "Of Human Hearts" is the drama of a father and a mother and the love they bestowed upon their only son; the ungrateful re ward they won for their sacrifices; the mother's visit to the Great Emancipator, Abraham Lincoln, to replace her son In the hearts of his countrymen; and last of all, the final reckoning and the reunion of mother and son. "Of Human Hearts" Is considered of such Importance that the Rialto theatre will have no added attraction other than sel ected shorts for their three-day pro gram starting today. The large cast of the film is headed by Walter Huston, his first film since "Dodsworth," James Ste wart and Beulah Bondl. the im mortal mother of "There's Always Tomorrow." The new picture is the story of an Itinerant preacher and his fam ily In an Ohio village during the 1850's. Father and son misunder stand each other and thero are fam ily troubles. The boy deserts his family to become a doctor, the Civil war intervenes, and he is finally set on the right path by Lincoln, played in the film by John Carrndine. Dramatic highlights such as the desperato fight between father and son are interspersed among tender human interest and comedy se quences. Other members of the cast in clude Guy Klbbee. Charles Coburn, Gene Lockhart, Ann Rutherford. Leatrice Joy Gilbert (daughter of John Gilbert), Charley Grapewln and Sterling Holloway. 1 Keystone Drivers Cautions PHILADELPHIA (UP) More than 2,520,000 motor vehicle drivers with Pennsylvania licenses covered approx imately 12.000,000,000 mites In 1937 without accident, reports the Key stone Automobile Club.
