The money Is used In buying the necesssry sup plies, the firemen contributing the labor. Old toys are now being received at fire headquarters and Chief Elliott asked for a generoua donation of discarded playthings. Any kind of toy Is acceptable, he emphaslred. He said the firemen are eager to distribute more toys thla year than ever before. Last year about 1800 old playthings were refurbished and dli trlbuted, the chief related. The firemen's project la supported by Lady Lions who assist In gather ing the old toys and In providing as many new ones as possible. To procure funds for the purchase 01 new toya the Lady Lions conducted a rummage sale yesterday and to day. The sale has been a complete success and It was expected that all the articles would be sold by mld-aftcrnoon, committee In charge stated.
