Weeks was transacting bust ness In Medford Monday. Wllmer Ragsdale and Mr. Pence are building another modern cabin at Rogue Alure. The Tth and 8th grades, assisted by the 8th grade will present the play, Daniel Boone, this week under direction of Mr. Lowe. The first and second grade pupils have all taken Indian names for ttie month of November. Robert Lowe spent the week-end visiting with Billy Train. Mrs. Howard Aah entertained BUly Train, Robert Low, Fay Aah and Benny Ash Saturday. She served the youngsters a delicious luncheon after their playing. . Blanche Zlmmerloe, Mr, Weeks, members of the school board, and Peter Sand on, elerk, visited school this week. Elmer Chsmberltn and brother of Ohemult, spent the week-end with his family at Rogue Alure. Posters made by the Sin grade geography class are very Interesting and educational. Don Elliott received word that his parent, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Elliott were coming from Riverside, Calif. this week to spend the winter with Mr. Elliott's mother, here. Mr. and Mrs, Monroe of Springfield, Ore., came last week to spend some time with Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Cook. Mr. Cook 1 their niece. Mr. and Mr. R. E. An Interesting program wss put on by children of first three grades. It wsa reported that the Hallowe'en carnival added $30.06 to the treasury and that the P.-T.A. now has 31 paid up members. It was voted to have the school children partlelpata In raising a fund to be used for the McLaughlin memorial. A committee composed of Ms. damea Arnold, Woodworth, Ounter and Gerrlty was put In charge of a bazaar and mincemeat sals some time before Chrlstmaa. It waa also announced that the Presbyterian Ladles' Aid, the public health unit and the P.-TA. are Join- lng forces to aew for the needy, and when a call comes they hope to be able to fill the need. Next meeting of P.-T.A. will b the afternoon of December I. Mr. and Mr. O. O. Sanden attend ed rural carriers' meeting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent of Central Point, Saturday, where a covered -dish supper waa enjoyed, followed by business meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Robt. OUmore and son of Ashland visited Mrs. Helen Johnson. October 81, returning to Ashland the following day. Mrs. GU more was formerly Miss Helen Walton. Mra. Gertrude Martin returned Sat urday from a week'a visit with tlves at Eugene. Grade school students are working hard on an operetta entitled "Hansel and Gretel," to be put In at the gym November 33. The city council passed a bicycle ordinance at their last meeting, which will require all bicycle owners to have a license after the first of next year.
