Hutch Apple Cake . 3 cups flour 4 teaspoons baking powder yA teaspoon salt 4 tablespoons fat 3-3 cup mi lit Mix dry ingredients. Cut In fat and add slowly milk. When a soft dough forms, place It on a greased shallow pan and pat down until tt is about two-thirds of an Inch thick. Spread with topping. Topping 3 cups sliced apples 3 tablespoons butter 1 cup dark brown sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Vi teaspoon clovea Places the apple slices in even rows on top of the dough. Spread with rest of the ingredients, combined. Bake 36 minutes In a moderate oven. Serve warm or cold with cream, lemon or hard sauce.
