Hope, regional director of the na tional labor relations board, said to day notice of a" labor board hearing into the local AFL-CIO sawmill con troversy, to be held here Monday, had been served on all parties to the dispute. Those served, he said, included seven Portland sawmills, the Lumber Workers' union, the Building Trades council, the Teamsters' union and the Carpenters and Joiners. All parties having a legitimate In terest in the controversy will be given a "full day In court," he added. No -changes against the mill own ers a5 employers are involved, Hope explained, the problem being one of representation of employes. Headquarters of the Marine Fire men, Oilers, Watertenders and Wipers union in San Francisco said last night notlcea had been posted clearing the crew of the steam schooner W. R. Chamberlain. Receipts in previous years were: 1936. $7,439.80; 1935. $7,186.70; 1934 $8,518.53; 1933. $7,340.53; 1932, $6,954.75; and 1931. $45,589.50. Executives explained that 25 per cent of the gross receipts of each national forest is distributed to the counties In which the forest is sit uated In the proportion which the forest acreage within the county bears to the total acreage of the for est. For the Rogue River national for est, the distribution Is almost wholly to Jackson and Klamath counties, foresters said. An additional ten per cent of the gross Income Is available for construction of necessary public roads and trails In the forest The remainder goes to the national treas ury. Death Is Probed Of Snipe Hunter NORTH BEND. Sept. 18. (AP) Coos county officers started an In vestigatlon today into the death of Oval "Buck" Engdahl. 19, fatally wounded Wednesday while hunting snipe. Coroner Ennls Kelzer scheduled an inquest. Engdahl apparently was accidental ly shot when a gun carried by his companion, Frank Kurdna, discharg ed. Kurdna carried his wounded friend s mile before he found help. Stock Shipments From Baker Heavy BAKER, Sept. 18. ( AP) A tre mendous movement of livestock, es pecially sheep, to Idaho and the mid dle west from Baker is now under way. Practically all of the sheep are feeders. High prices and good feed are the principal reasons for the Increased shipments.
