Here from Ashland Miss Agnes Jones of Ashland shopped here Thurs day and visited at the E. L. Hen nlnger home, 1000 West Main street. Mr. and Mrs. . Hennlnger will leave Saturday morning for a several days' visit, in Roseburg and Oakland, Ore. Vacation Completed Miss Barbara Lemmon. daughter or Mr. and Mrs. Crawford C. Lemmon, returned home this- week from a three weeks' vaca tion In San Jose and San Francisco where she visited friends and rela tives. ' While in San Jose, Mtas Lem mon visited her aunt, Mrs. Helen Plant. Rogers Returns City Building In spector Frank H. Rogers returned by plane last night from Salt Lake City where he attended the annual con vention or the International Associ ation of Electrical Inspectors, north west division. Mr. Rogers left here last Saturday and traveled by air both; ways. Flying South gt. A. Hansen stop ped at Medford municipal airport this afternoon to have his Douglas basic training plane refueled. Accompanied by Warrant Officer L. D. Bradshaw, he was returning to his station at Rockwell field, San Diego, from Fort Lewis, Wash. While waiting for their plane to be serviced the rhen had lunch' at the airport cafeteria. The Stearman-Hammond plane, manufactured In San Fran cisco, has a landing wheel under the nose as an added safety factor. Continue Vacation Mr. and Mrs. Herb Grey returned to their home at 714 South Oakdale avenue Wednes day night after vacationing In Wash ington and British Columbia. They departed again this morning, going to the coast for the remainder of the week. They were accompanied today by their two sons, Herb and Jimmy. Forester Returns Paul Brlnson, Junior forester of the Rogue River national forest, returned to his duties at headquarters here this morning after spending several days in the field on a -mission pertaining to tim ber sales. The peers were extra fancy Bartletts intended for the select Lon don trade, the orchard office said. The shipment was said to be one of the first consignments - of Medford pears for the London market from here this season. Bartlett sh,ents from the Rogue River valley total 98 cars to date, ac cording to the freight department of the Southern Pacific railroad. Can nery shipments total 71 cars. Twenty five oars were shipped to. eastern markets and for export shipment from Portland and other coast ports. Picking and packing of Bartletts will be completed by the end to next week.
