Clark, superintendent of the. sewage disposal plant tor the past year submitted his resignation to the council at Its regular semi-monthly meeting in city hall last night. It was accepted with regret. In a formal letter to the council Mr. Clark asked that his resignation j be made effective August 1 or as soon thereafter as a successor could be procured He said he was resigning so that he might take advantage of an opportunity to continue profes sional study In graduate work at the University of California under the United States public health aervlce. , Thanks City Heads ' During his employment here, Mr. Clark said, he has enjoyed the co operation of the council's health committee, Dr. L.
