Oregon and Idaho placed an average estimate ot 77,000.000 bushels on the 1937 crop, about' equal to last years bumper harvest. The forecasts were almost a com plete reversal ot those made a month ago. Heavy rainfall during the past two weeks accounted for the current good outlook. May Top Last Year. All crop experts reported produc tion would be "substantial"; some even foresaw a better orop than last year. The average winter wheat crop was estimated at 39.000,000 bushels, .com pared with 91,800,000 last year. The spring crop forecast was 48.000,000 bushels, an Increase on nearly a, 000,000 over 1938. Soma buying quarters estimated the crop would reach 81,000,000 bushels, with a spring crop ot 80,000,000. One dealer aald winter wheat would be 90 percent ot normal, and spring' 80 percent of normal. Oordon T. Shaw, one of the largest wheat dealers n the northwest, who made a oomplete circuit of the north west wheat belt laat week, placed flat estimate of 77,600,000 bushels on the crop. ......
