(AP) Vernon Bull, representative of Union county at the Oregon legislature, reached the capital today and said he would oppose the selection of Claude McColloch of Klamath Falla, state democmtle chairman, to fill a va cancy on the federal bench. He conferred with Congressmen Walter Pierce and Congresswoman Nan Wood Honeyman. The eastern Oregon lawmaker said he was here to oppose Meoolloch rather than support anyone. Steiwer Will Seek Cave Tax Removal WASHINOTON, June 35. (AP) oenaior rreaerick steiwer said to day ne would ask the removal of a I nuisance tax from the Oregon Oaves near Grunts Pass. The tax Is paid ' by visitors through the guide eerv- I ice. The senator said the Oregon Oaves should have exemption along with the Carlsbad caves. The tax was Im posed at Carlsbad but later revoked. Burgeon Halts Yawns CHARLOTTE, N. 0, June 26. (UP) Mrs. Jesse Hlnshaw yawned as they placed her on an operating table yesterday. She had yawned al most continually for IT days, and her Jaws were tlrefl.
