This year 35 girls have been award ed different emblems according to points under the statewide Oregon athletic point system. The emblem for 80 points earned Is the class numeral In green and white. Advantage of the statewide point system is that a girl may go from one city to another and take her points with her, thereby not losing the work and effort. Before the physical education classes stopped we had the highest standing in the state and are once again working for the honor. We have done better than usual this year. In the past years little has been said or done with girls' athletics, but In the future they will come to be of Importance. The girls do not hold contests and meets as the boys do, but get a chance to earn their points In a different way.
