May 21, (AP) The "Red Army of Roseburg," due to ar rive In the vicinity of Ooshen today, will attack: the city of Eugene Sun day morning but the "Blue Army of Eugene'' la prepared end waiting to defend lta city. The battle will start at 0:30 a. m. Sunday. War was de clared a month ago, and the "Red" forces, advancing from the south, are pushing rapidly towards this university clf.y. This warlike statement was made here by officers -of the army reserve stationed here, but It merely con cerns activities of a contact "camp" which will be held here over the weei:-end by district reserve officers. Among the many things cm the pro 'gram from the week-end will be a "battle" Sunday morning, during which vnrious methods of communi cation from ground to nlr and air to ground will be tested. The "Red Army's" attack will be featured by use of numerous air cm ft, with H planes scheduled to arrive here from Boeing field, Seat tle, Penrson field, Vancouver, Wash., and Felta field, Spokane, First of these ships Is expected Saturday morning. Suspended Sentence Held Mocker of Law MOSCOW. Idaho. May 21. (API Suspended sentences. Federal Judge C. O. Cavanah. declared from the bench today, "make a Joke of law." Herbert McLean of Seattle had Just been convicted by a Jury on a charge of transporting a stolen sutomoblle across a state line. His attorney, Weldom Schlmke, asked for a sus pended sentence or a parole. "There are no suspended sentences In this court." the Judge declared. "They make a Joke of law and en courage crime."
