Mother's Day la Week-end Event Festivities of the week-end will center around observance of Mother's Day. The past week saw a number of programs and affairs honoring mothers vlelng for attention with numerous event of national music week. Informal and family parties are being arranged by many for the week-end. Although slightly unset tled, weather remains warm and pleasant and Ls expected to attract many to outdoor recreations tomor row and Sunday. Many mothers will be out of town as the guests of sons and daughters at Oregon State college and the Uni versity of Oregon. Teas, luncheons, dinners and musical and social events are planned by campus .committees to welcome mothers. Combination of Junior week-end" and mothers' day festivities at the Eugene campus will provide student activities as well as those especially for mothers. As spring advances, the attention of many ls already being drawn to the San Francisco Golden Gate bridge fiesta, with local groups mak ing plans to attend. Medford Women Golf IIORtCMPS Women of the Rogue Valley Golf club were hostesses Wednesday, en tertaining Grants Pass women golf ers at luncheon at the local club house for the weekly ladles' day. Following luncheon, the 53 guests present engaged In team matches during the afternoon. Grants Pans women awarded prizes on various phases of play were Mrs. Anna Clark. Mrs. C. Rtebel. Mrs. Scott Hammond and Mrs, Williams. The event was also the start of a month-long eclectic or ringer tour nament. Mrs. F. G. Bunch, women's presi dent, announced that women golfers of the local club are to qualify for the Murray trophy next Wednesday. 1 Z u lei ma Temple I'lans Luncheon Luncheon ls being arranged to pre cede tomorrow afternoon's session of Zulclma temple. Mrs. Margaret Fabrlck discussed her recent trip to Mexico, Illustrating her talk with a display of native handicrafts brought back with her. Rorden of the Table Rock district. The ceremony was solemnized at St. Peter's Lutheran church by Rev. Harry Young, In the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. After a short honeymoon trip to northern cities, the young couple re turned to make their home at the Rorden ranch In Table Rock district. The 33 pupils appearing, and their Instructor, were praised for careful preparation and training, those at tending reporting that much talent was apparent.
