The report reviews briefly the work ot the chamber In the past year, Mr. Arnspiger summarising the activities under committee group ings. The president emphasized that the report could only skim over the highlights of the year's program and indicated that detailed committee re ports would be available later. "Office detail work and the thou sands of Inquiries which we received and answered and other matters of that nature are not Included In the report," Mr. Arnspiger said. Help Appreciated. For this assistance in various chamber activities Mr. Arnspiger ex pressed thanks to County Judge Earl B. Day, Karl L. janouch, supervisor of the Rogue river national forest, David H. Canfleld, superintendent of Crater lake national park. Mayor George W. Porter and the city coun cil. To Fred Heath, Jr., former coun cilman, Mr. Arnspiger expressed ap preciation for his help in advancing the chamber's aviation program. "Many other city and county of ficials have given valuable assist ance which has made It possible for us to carry out our program," Mr. Arnspiger states. The manager of the chamber of commerce was elected chairman of the Oregon Transports tlon league, which was organized at the request of Gov. Charles H. Mar tin. Aviation an: Military Affairs com mittee Cooperated with United Air Lines In all matters pertaining to airmail and commercial aviation, co operated vlth visiting army and navy groups. Submitted application for mooring mast for the Macon, but die to the destruction of the Macon this program was abandoned. Sub mitted a brief designed to bring an army alrbase here. Assisted the na tional guard In building up Its strength. Sponsored a meeting of the state aeronautic board, Co-ope rated with Columbia Pictures. Inc., when a film was nade at the Med ford airport. Held a meeting with two army officers resulting in Med ford being given a United States army radio homing station. Assisted in the formation of the Medford chapter of the National Aeronautic association.
